The 2008 recreational release schedule for the Dead, Rapid, and Magalloway rivers have been released.
Be aware weather and/or mechanical problems could alter recreational release schedules. Always check ahead of your trip by calling the dam operators or checking the related American Whitewater websites for the latest changes.
Kennebec 2008 recreational releases
A big thank you to American Whitewater for negotiating these releases over the last decade. Please note the Kennebec river releases a minimum of 4800 cfs from 10am to 1pm every day from May through October. The following release schedule are high and low flow opportunities in addition to the normal everyday release.

*Although the dam stops releasing at noon, dropping river levels usually are not noticeable at Smooth Ledge until 3 pm. Flows start at 6:00pm before 1st scheduled day and end at 12 noon on last scheduled day.
